Dear Parents/Guardians:
Please click HERE to download a copy of the Saint Cecilia Internet Usage Policy and Acceptable Computer Practice guidelines. We are pleased to offer to students at Saint Cecilia School access to the Internet. In keeping with our mission to provide educational excellence, we have designed a program which facilitates resource sharing, innovation and communication.
Student access to and use of the Internet at Saint Cecilia School is only available through a faculty/staff member or administrator account and, as such, is under the direction of the classroom teacher. In an attempt to keep incoming material consistent with our educational standards, Saint Cecilia School has installed filtering software on all classroom computers. It is our intent to make Internet access available so that we may further our educational goals and objectives. However, students may find ways to access other materials as well. We believe that the benefits that students derive from access to the Internet far exceed any disadvantages that may inadvertently occur.
Students are responsible for their behavior and communications on school computers. General school rules for behavior and communication apply. Access to the Internet is a privilege, not a right. It is given to students who agree to act in a considerate and responsible manner. It is presumed that the user will comply with Saint Cecilia School standards and will honor the agreements they sign.
Please read the Internet Usage Policy Agreement and Acceptable Computer Practice guidelines with your child. Please note that all students must have consent forms on file signed by both the student and parent/guardian in order to use school computers and/or to access the Internet.
It is our hope that with parents, faculty, staff, administration and students working together, we can provide computer and Internet resources that will continue to enhance the learning environment at Saint Cecilia School.
Sincerely,
Kelly Caton
Principal
