Welcome to Computer Class

We are excited to begin this year with a brand new up-to-date computer lab!

Please Note: Students must have the internet and computer forms signed and returned before they are allowed to use the computer.
Thank you for getting the forms back in a timely manner.
Pre-k And Kindergarten

Pre-K and Kindergarten will continue learning to conquer the mouse.Through the use of educational games, they are learning to navigate a web site. They will also be learning the keyboard through games. Keyboarding practice will continue the first week of the month. Please try and practice using the mouse, and left clicking with your child. first grade and second grade

First Grade and Second grade students will be learning the keyboard using the appropriate finger placement. Keybaording will continue the first week of each month. They will also be learning how to navigate a safe website and using the program Google Docs to create their own documents. The will also be using tools to copy pictures and inserting them into thier documents.
Third grade and fourth grade

Students in Third and Fourth grade will spend the first week of every month practicing the proper finger placement on a keyboard. They will practice using keyboarding programs. Using the program Google Suite students will create documents and research information using safe web sites. They will be using their computers to sample the many tools found in Google.
FIFTH GRADE
The first class of each month the Fifth grade will practice their keyboarding skills in order to become more proficient. Students will learn how to navigate safe web sites in order to obtain information for their research topics. They will be using the on line thesaurus and the on line dictionary for research. They will be using the program Google Suite to create their own documents.

6th, 7th and 8th Grade Students -
As students become more proficient in their computer skills, we will be focusing this year on Library Enrichment! Students will read a novel together and explore literature in conjunction with improving their research and computer skills.
